Abstract:

Surface plankton samples were collected during CONCORDE cruise PTS02 (March 30th-April 12th, 2016) using a Neuston (1 x 2 m frame) fitted with a 505-µm mesh net. The Neuston was fished for 10-minutes at the air-sea interface between the Chandeleur Islands and the Alabama/Florida border to assess the horizontal distribution of plankton under high freshwater discharge conditions characteristic of the Spring.

Purpose:

The intent of this data set is to describe the station information and field conditions for each neuston sample collected during the Spring CONCORDE field campaign (March-April 2016).
