Abstract:

Surface plankton samples were collected during CONCORDE cruise PTS01 (October 28th-November 5th, 2015) using a Neuston (1 x 2 m frame) fitted with a 505-µm mesh net. The Neuston was fished for 10-minutes at the air-sea interface between the Chandeleur Islands and the Alabama/Florida border to assess the horizontal distribution of plankton under low freshwater discharge conditions characteristic of the Fall.

Purpose:

The intent of this dataset is to describe the station and field conditions for each neuston sample collected during the Fall CONCORDE field campaign (October-November).
