Abstract:

This dataset contains microstructure profiler data collected in December 2013 in Choctawhatchee Bay. This dataset reports turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rates, pressure, raw velocity, and velocity profiles. Data were collected with a Rockland Scientific Vertical Microstructure profiler deployed in upriser mode. The TKE dissipation rates were calculated from the velocity shear spectrum following the method of Lueck et al. (2002) Ocean velocity microstructure measurements in the 20th century, Jpn. J. Oceanogr., 58, 153–174.
