Abstract:

Data were collected using a instrument packages deployed on a deep see lander. The lander was deployed at in an active hydrocabon seepage field. Oxygen data was collected using optode sensors inside and out of a chimney to look at the total oxygen consumption (TOU) of the sediment. Water current (speed and direction) and temperature data was also collected to look at the point sources.

Purpose:

The oxygen data was collected to calculate the TOU of the sediment and other observational sensors were used to track parameters within the site.
