Abstract:

Analysis of water and sediment samples collected during the R/V Endeavor cruise EN528 in the Gulf of Mexico, July 7 - 22, 2013, at cold-seep and control sites. Measurements include the concentration of dissolved nutrients, dissolved organics, cations, anions and dissolved gases acquired from 40 CTD casts and 11 sediment cores.

Purpose:

The purpose of this dataset it to asses the impacts of the Deepwater Horizon blowout on sediment and water chemistry on fallout sites and compare these impacts to naturally occurring oil and gas seeps.
